Investors with a long term savings outlook now have an opportunity to do both social good and make a profit while at it with the help of Better Globe Ltd. Headquartered in Norway, Better Globe’s vision is to help eradicate poverty in Africa through tree planting, agriculture and education.

“We do not believe in just charity, but we do believe strongly in “self-help” and will support poor people in Africa based on principles of profitability. This way they can be self-sustained and able to work themselves out of poverty.” – Better Globe

Similar to other investments regarding hardwood or bio-fuel tree plantations where the purpose is to both help the environment and turn a profit, Better Globe’s plans involves adding an objective to fight poverty in Africa.

Better Globe’s vision encompasses three areas in which they believe will help eradicate poverty and stop the desertification of land in Africa.

Tree Planting – plant 5 billion trees in Africa by 2026. Planting trees will counteract dehydration of soil, desertification and global warming. As the trees mature, they will become the products that are sold for profit.

Agriculture – build the world’s largest Micro Finance bank helping poor farmers in Africa by 2026. Micro loans to African farmers will enable them to become independent and earn more income.

Education – build more schools than any other organization has done by 2026. More schools will provide basic education to poor children in Africa, the key to fighting poverty and better welfare.

To accomplish these goals, Better Globe was formed with a Network Marketing business model and offers participants three ways in which they can be involved and make money.

Members – can buy Donation Packages and earn more than he donated.

Ambassadors – sell packages/products to Members and Investors, and able to make money

Investors – can buy tree packages which are expected to yield more than four times profit. The profit could in fact be more than ten times the investment in a period of 20 years.

“.. these activities should be based on business and profit and not charity alone. We want to support the poorest people in Africa by business principles and profit: The poor will learn how to make money. We who are helping will make money.” – Better Globe

How much can you make as an investor?

Managed timber averaged 15% returns annually from 1973 – 2002 as an investment and tree prices has risen about 5% per year.

“Better Globe Forestry takes care of the trees you purchase for 20 years from purchase date. From the fifth to the twentieth year you get paid 15% profit on your Better Globe trees. The 20th year you will receive an additional 10 times the recommended retail price. You will also receive possible increase in price.” – Better Globe

Assuming you invested in a lot of 100 trees at a price of €13 per tree and see a 0 increase in prices for trees over the life of the investment, you can expect a return of €14,630 for an initial spend of €1,300. The chart below shows the potential increases in profit if tree prices increases (Source Better Globe).

If there is a 5% increase in tree prices, your profits would be €36,120. That’s a 2778% return on the investment over 20 years or an annualized 138.9% per year. Imagine if the price of trees going above 5%!

Facts indicate that the price of timber and harvestable products will continue to increase in the next 20 to 30 years. World demand is outstripping current supply. This is what Better Globe has to say about it.

Today nearly 1 out of 3 people in the world (1.7 billions) are living in countries and areas which have critically low coverage of forest. If the present deforestation continues the figure will be tripled to 4.6 billion people by 2025.

The total forest areas have diminished by 50 % since 1960.

More than 90 % of the original forests in West Africa are temporarily lost.

In Africa, only 1 tree is planted for each 28th that is cut.

8 out of 10 people use less paper than what is estimated to be necessary needs for education and communication in the future.

Countries like Japan, England and USA are today among the largest consumers of wood. In the future however, countries like China and India, with a population many times the size of the three mentioned countries combined, will have an enormous increasing demand for wood.
Some figures for comparison:
In Japan every person consumes about 242 kilos per year, while the consumption in India is still only about 3 kilos a person a year.

At the same time prognoses show that the area covered by forest in India will decrease by more than 30 % per person the next 20 years. This, among other things, is a result of an increasing population of more than 300 million people during the same period.

Today the forests of China are covering about 16 % of the total land. The demand is however more than doubled. This implies that there is a shortage of about 270 million cubic meters of wood each year. The situation is worsening due to population growth and economic revolution taking place in China right now.

Here is a chart on comparing the rate of tropical deforestation versus the rising demand for wood:

The outlook for profits from sustainable trees and harvestable wood products as a long term investment looks promising. If you are interested in investing in this sector, visit www.betterglobe.com or contact:

The cost for fossil fuel will keep rising as the world’s population increases and more countries become consumer driven nations. The world’s limited supply of oil and gas can not keep up with this demand. The days of cheap gas and low utility bills will become nostalgic memories, but one company, Pan-Am Biofuels Inc., is here to help alleviate the burden.

“When fuel prices rise, so do the profits from your biofuel trees.”

There are investments that can be made by the average consumer that can offset this rising expense. One such investment is in bio-fuels, and in particular, Jatropha trees that provides the feedstock for creating bio-fuel. It is possible to completely eliminate the total cost of your fuel usage for a one time small investment with Pan-Am Biofuels, Inc.

So what are Jatropha trees?

Jatropha is a “perennial”, lasting up to 50 years without replanting. Jatropha can be cultivated on arid and semi-arid, non-agricultural land. This means growing Jatropha never has to compete with growing food. On a per-acre basis, Jatropha can yield up to 10 times the amount of oil as other sources of biodiesel feedstock like soybeans and canola.

The seeds of a Jatropha tree can produce about 1 gallon of bio-fuel per year at full production. The average person with one car drives about 12,500 miles per year at 22mpg. An investment of $2500 in Jatropha trees equates to about 750 Jatropha trees which yields about 750 gallons of biodiesel.

Bio-fuel is not the only product that is produced from a Jatropha tree. There are numerous other uses that are extracted or made from this sustainable perennial. Fertilizer from the seed cake remains after the oil is pressed; medicines from the seeds, the bark as a source of dye, and glycerin are just examples.

Pan-Am Investment Program

Investing to offset your fuel cost is a good start, but if you invest on a larger scale; an investment in Jatropha trees can have you retiring early. At full production, your annual rate of return should exceed 45% and that is annually, year after year, for the next 40 or 50 years. Instead of a $2,500 dollar investment, what if you invested $100,000?

An investment in Pan-Am Biofuel’s contract Jatropha farming program is very much hands free. They do all the work for you including providing the land, planting, caring for, harvesting and processing the bio oils. They have also signed contracts with Amelot Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AMHD) to purchase all of the bio-feedstock produced.

“Jatropha tree ownership will create millions of dollars in equity and profits for savvy investors that have the foresight to recognize that ground floor opportunities are the only place where real wealth is made!”

About Pan-Am Biofuels, Inc.

One of the hottest alternative investments that have come around recently is the investing in hardwood trees. It is both timely and socially responsible as it centers on such topics as the environment, global warming and reforestation. As in most long term investments, you will have to look at the projections and rate of returns.

Finca Leola S.A. is a relatively new tree farm in Costa Rica that provides investors with better than stock market returns. As the trees get bigger and the price of hardwood continues to increase, the internal rate of return for the investors is, conservatively, more than 20% per year over the 25 years that it takes the trees to mature. The stock market tends to return about 10% annually over the same time period.

When deciding to invest in tropical hardwood tree reforestation, there are a number of important things to consider when it comes to the choice of the company and locations.

Here is a short list of things you should be aware of.

The soil and the climate make a huge difference. The quality of the land is incredibly important when you are GROWING things.

The quality of the maintenance is critical. If you plant teak and do nothing, you are liable to have nothing. The trees will grow, but the market for teak is for clear, straight logs. This requires planning, weeding, and pruning, especially for the first 3 years.

Does the company know how to sell your lumber? If they sell your trees as stumpage, they will have to know what it is worth and if the logger is to be trusted.

Anyone can sell and make money on full-grown, valuable tropical hardwoods; the challenge in the numbers usually seen is in selling the thinnings. The wood of the thinnings is valuable, but you have to work at reaping that value.

All investments are subject to the problem of frauds and scams, and tree plantations are no different. You have to do your own due diligence, research and evaluation to determine if you wish to invest in any reforestation project, including Finca Leola.

Investing with Finca:

Current tree prices start at $3850 per 100 and are discounted if a larger quantity of trees are purchased. Besides growing, managing and selling your interest in the trees, Finca Leola can help arrange your purchase through a tax-deferred investment fund. Contact them about information on how you may be able to invest through an IRA or Coverdell Educational Savings Account.

WARNING: Many People Are Reporting Problems With This Company!

Tropical American Tree Farms has an investment opportunity that even Al Gore may approve of. If you have a concern for our environment and prefer to invest in a socially responsible way, owning some high demand tropical hardwood trees as a long term investment is the perfect solution.

Here you have an opportunity to feel good about doing your part to help the environment by owning and having new trees planted in the rainforest of Costa Rica. Each tree that you purchase has a great return on your investment that will continue to pay out for at least 25 years.

Depending on the type of hardwood you decide on owning, the returns can be upwards of 2700% over a life span of 25 years. That is roughly a 100% per annum on your principal invested.

Why Invest in Tropical Hardwood Trees?

World consumption of tropical hardwoods has multiplied nearly 25 times in just the last four decades to more than 100 billion board feet of tropical hardwoods now being consumed each year.

At the same time, the world’s tropical rainforests are being destroyed at the rate of 35 to 50 million acres each year, and along with them the world’s supply of tropical hardwoods.
As a result, prices of tropical hardwoods continue to escalate. Cocobolo is now often sold by the pound, and a single teak log can bring as much as $20,000.

The continually increasing demand for tropical hardwoods, coupled with the rapidly decreasing availability of the natural rainforests as a source of supply, make planting and growing selected tropical hardwood species for harvest a uniquely profitable opportunity.

One World Income tries to find those rare profitable investment opportunities that are legitimate and at the same time offer a great return on your money. In Tropical American Tree Farms, we are given both and even more. If the thought of socially responsible investing doesn’t strike your fancy, then just visit their site and look at the projections.

If you have any doubts if this company is legitimate, just read what well known newspapers and publications have written about Tropical American Tree Farms.
