World Limited Partnership Program

wlpp Warning: This program appears to have disappeared online and may be a scam. Members have reported of not getting paid and no communication from the admin.

Worldlpp.com has been around since 2005 and are led by what appears to be reputable people. They have a unique concept for those that want to invest a little money for a share in the profits of the business ventures they initiate. In real world business operations, one must realize that any returns on investment could take a while. This investment is not for those that have little patience. It may take a long period of time to break even or to see a return just for the fact that some of the ventures have to be built from the ground up… start to finish. As in all new business startups, there is the risk of failure in the first few critical years.

In this program, one can make money as an affiliate or choose to participate in the pools once one is comfortable with a proposal that is presented. Once a person becomes a part owner (limited partner), he will receive dividends per the number of the shares or units invested for life; as long as the business or venture is profitable. The cost per unit is usually around 50USD. Affordable for the small investors to participate.

To date, two ventures have been started. Vivamin.com, a vitamin online sales site and ItConsultinglive.com which is an IT outsourcing business. Returns on invested monies have been reported to be minimal by those that have participated. Since the inception of the two ventures, it should be noted that only ITConsultingLive has shown to have some growth and profit. There are several other ventures currently in the works and have either been launched or in the process of.

Worldlpp.com is worth taking a closer look at, but only for those that have a long term strategy and can have funds tied up. Here are snippets from their website. Read the rest of this entry »

Two more “reverse pensions” Jumps on the Bandwagon

Today, I find two new RPP programs being advertised on the net, Earlypension.com and UAE-pension-retirement.com . It is really starting to be rediculous. The more I see of these reverse pension programs, the more I sway towards the “too good to be true” line of thinking. I am not saying that either of these new ones are scams.. not yet anyhow. (We have a category for that.) This is just a fair warning to those that are considering to participate that scammers and unscrupulous people are great opportunists.

I would be very surprised and shocked to see if any one of these RPPs is legit and pays out like they say. I believe that we are now reaching a point of saturation with these programs. Scammers, if not already present, will start to copycat the original websites to swindle honest folks out of their money. Professional scammers are frothing at the mouth with this concept. You have the perfect setup – an anonymous website with a lofty idea that plays on the dreams, hopes and greed of average people, a non regulated currency payment system and a deadline. The scammers do not have to do anything until the last dollar of the last member is sent in. Then they can run.

Of course some participants in these programs will counter with the fact that several of these programs have come to completion and they haven’t run yet. The sites are still there. One can only ask, have they paid out yet? On a more pessimistic point of view, it will take the scammers a while to move several million dollars worth of e-gold and e-bullion around as to not attract attention. Secondly, the e-currencies will have to be exchanged into hard cold cash and transferred to some hidden offshore account.

Pure conjecture, but very likely how it will happen if they all turn out to be pie in the sky scams. After all, they do have their escape clauses. What? You haven’t read them?

Is Stock Investing Gambling?

“Fixed Odds Financial Trading – Trading the world’s financial markets with the award winning BetOnMarkets.com is fast, fun and very simple. Forex, Indices, US and UK stock trading starts from as little as 5 up to 50,000 US Dollars, Euro or British Pounds.” -Betonmarkets.com

I really enjoy investing in stocks. Countless hours of research but still, on most days there seems to be an element of chance that goes into the picks that I trade. One can never tell which way the market will move. Some days I win and some days I lose. For this reason I have always said that stock investing, is nothing more than legalized gambling except the odds are a bit better if you know how to play it right. Ask me if I gamble at the casinos and I will tell you that it is a sure way to lose your money, so I only visit Vegas for the entertainment.

What if the the financial markets had a bookmaker? Lucky for those of you that enjoy a little wagering, your prayers have been answered. You can now place bets on just about all aspects of the markets. Stocks, bonds, Yens, Dollars… you name it, you can place a wager on it. Betonmarkets.com is for those you that want to have a little fun with the financial markets, but do not want to have anything to do with the underlying securities or brokers.

It is possible that you can make an income gambling. Professional poker players have proven this, however, with Betonmarkets, you better know how to gamble as well as the financial markets. I would rate it as a good source of entertainment, but I wouldn’t bet my retirement savings on it. Have some fun and you might even win some money.

Betonmarkets is part of the Regent Markets Group and has been around since 2000. They are a legal gambling site as noted on their website. Below is more information if you are interested.

Basically, Mr. Chris Hogan is using the recent troubles that e-gold had as an excuse not to return funds to the investors and covering up the real problem that he is facing. Frankly, we are surprised that his website is still up and running, but then again a criminal will keep on going as long as he can get away with it.

What Chris Hogan failed to mention on his website was that the Arkansas Securities Department had issued a Cease and Desist order on all his shenanigans since September 2006. Even with that order, Chris Hogan was still enticing investors to send him money for his “casino” venture all the way up to June 2007.

You can find the C&D order here, S-06-015-06-CD0

Imperia Invest IBC

Imperia Invest IBC – Oh yes, yet another “Reverse Pension” program, but definitely with a new twist to entice unsuspecting members.  This time, it is called a TEP or Traded Endowment Policy.  They assure us that TEPs exist and are real, we only have to do a web search to confirm it.  If you find yourself chuckling, you are not alone.. so are we.  We will coin a new term for this program.  It is a hybrid, combining the RPP with a trading account.  For a mere $50, they will somehow give you a loan for $80,000 that will be traded earning you 1.2% per day via Forex/Arbitrage.  Don’t ask us why they don’t just keep the $80K and trade if they are that good.  If it is for real, what if they lose that $80K that was loaned to you?  In the end, you will have to do what is comfortable for you.

Here is the spiel from Imperia’s website:

Excel Prestige International

Excel Prestige International – The latest in a string of “Reverse Pension” programs popping up all over the place.  This program was launched in April of 2007 and so far claims a membership of 224 of the needed 100,000 members to close.  Maybe people are starting to catch on to all the ‘copy cat’ RPP programs.  It doesn’t help that their site almost duplicate the text verbatim of other so called reverse pensions.  If you are thinking of signing up, we think there will be plenty of time before they will reach 100k members.  People are wising up and are waiting to see if the other programs that started before Excel pays out, then join.  Maybe a bit late on Excel’s part for joining the reverse pension “hyip” train.  In either case, participants in any of these programs are in for a long wait to see if they receive any returns if any. Believe what you will, they admit on their site that they could not play with the so called “big boys”, so now they have struck out on their own.  They have also added a little twist to the referral program to entice membership – a forced matrix.

Below are excerpts from their site:

Human Capital Insurance 25

Human Capital Insurance 25 – Another “Reverse Pension” program. Of all the RPP programs, this one happens to show many red flags. Maybe our assumptions are wrong, but then again take a visit to their website and make up your own mind. The lack of command of the English grammar set aside, it takes balls for them to mention “We are one of the few distributors of bank debenture trading programs.” Experts in the headline scam medium of the ’90s, “bank debentures”, “prime banking” etc. Do a search on the SEC website for “Prime Banking” and you will see a list of red flags. Here’s one right from HCI’s faq section concerning SECRETCY which is a crock of bull. It is also disconcerting to hear from those who have joined that they do not even confirm receipt of funds sent or answer support emails.

“There’s no publicly available instrument even remotely comparable; why aren’t some of the largest institutions (pension funds and insurance companies) major investors? In addition, why have these instruments and programs never been the subject of articles in investment publications?

Most money managers, oriented only toward commonly-known investment are unaware and have not been exposed. Further, they do not realize the differences in (1) The type of investment vehicle. (2) How it is issued, (3) The frequency of the transactions. (4) The requirements for investing, (5) How to perform due diligence, and (6) The lack of knowledge by the general public. Because of this lack of knowledge, the returns sound “too good to be true” when compared to public-type investments. In addition, reported sources of these types of instruments deny their existence; however, some of these institutions are investors, according to managers contracted personally.

The main reason for this lack of knowledge is that all United States banks deny the existence of these programs or dismiss them as scams. There are only six domestic issuers; all are large money-center banks and their abilities are known only at the highest level within the banking community (meaning that most banks are completely unaware). These issuers cannot acknowledge the existence of such programs because (A) They are concerned that Publicity about raising capital might be deemed a public offering and the subject to regulation by the SEC and (B) Disintermediation (the switching by large depositors) from low-paying deposits to those with much larger profits.”

If this doesn’t bother you, then by all mean… continue on.
