Paradise Property Real Estate Investments (PPREI Ltd.) was created in April of 2006 and registration of the domain around this time confirms this. Their forum is publicly accessible for those that want to do some extra due diligence. A small number of members who have been paid from this investment have posted in the forum.
“At PPREI we provide you with the opportunity to purchase into property, without all the work, yet reap all the rewards. We specialize in pre-construction units, as the earlier you get in, the lower the property price, which means a better return on your investment.
It should be noted that this is a MEDIUM - LONG term investment opportunity. You will not get rich overnight! The most important attribute needed when investing in Real Estate is patience. Some of what we offer will provide you with a weekly return, some will be monthly and others will mean waiting till the time is right to sell, which will double, triple, even quadruple your money!”
There are reports of 3 to 4 times returns from their initial principal amount. We would like to reiterate that the real estate investments that they are offering is a long term investment, running 24mos to 3 years or more. This is probably a contributing factor to why there are not a lot of “paid” postings in the forum since they have not reached the two year mark in running the investments. The properties that they invest in will need time for development and construction.
A couple of negatives that we see are no transparency with contact information, addresses or locations and what appears to be limited communications from the admin in the forum. We will give them the benefit of the doubt that they do communicate with their member investors more frequently through emails and the fact that they have stated that they will have more contact info coming soon. If you had the foresight and invested in 1000 shares of eBay back in 1999, today you would be sitting on a cool million. They say hindsight is 20/20, but opportunities do come around and you have to trust your intuition. Ebay has become the defacto online auction site; the thousand pound gorilla that crushes any other competition. If you read between the lines, this 53 Billion dollar company does have its weaknesses and a large base of unsatisfied customers. The number one complaint are the fees – too many and ever increasing fees.
This is where new comer Dubli.com has a shot at taking a market share. They have the technology and strong financial backing. If Dubai in Dub-li doesn’t make you wonder who may be involved, then you will have to take a closer look. The first thing you should do is visit their trade portal and see what they have to offer and how they may be better than eBay.
The portal has launched a little more than a year ago and has been gathering steam. The MLM model that they chose allows associates to earn recurring commissions on referrals, something that users of eBay do not have. While we do not like MLM or network marketing when it comes to investments, this is one of those rare exceptions. Dubli.com has announced its intention of going public some time in 2008 on the London Stock Exchange. This is what we at OWI are all about, the investment opportunities. Read the rest of this entry »

In the world of financial markets, arbitrage trading is a technique where the trader buys a security at a low price and sells it in another market at a higher price. The trades usually occur at the same time so the trader makes a profit from the discrepancy in pricing on two separate markets. Arbitrage situations are not restricted just to the financial markets. It can happen with the buying/selling of physical goods and with sports wagering.
Arbitrage situations in sports betting occur frequently because different bookkeepers post different odds on the outcome of the same game. If an arbitrage is identified, it is usually a “risk free” or a “can’t lose” situation.
Let’s imagine a football game between Team A and Team B. Bookmaker #1 is giving even odds, so a $100 dollar bet wins $100 if you pick the winning team. Bookmaker #2 has Team A at +200. If you bet $100 on Team A with bookmaker #2, you collect $200 if they win and lose $100 if Team A loses. This is an arbitrage situation where you can make a profit and not lose any money no matter the outcome if you place the following bets.
1. Place a $300 wager on Team B at even odds with Bookmaker #1.
2. Place a $200 bet on Team A with Bookmaker #2 a +200.
If Team B wins, Bookmaker #1 pays you $300, but you lose $200 with Bookmaker #2. This leaves you with a $100 profit. If Team A wins, Bookmaker #2 pays you $400 and you lose $300 to Bookmaker #1. This also leaves you with a $100 profit, so no matter who wins, you are in profit.
This system appears very easy to do; however, identifying the arbitrage situation takes some skills and manual labor. The situation can appear quick, and you will have to do the math to secure the outcome and place the bets. Read the rest of this entry »

If you want an example of what a Managed Account with a real Forex trading company is all about, then you don’t have to look far with High Peak Financial. Unlike some of investment scams talked about on this blog, HPF should be a company you model your selections from.
First of all, you can actually contact the company by phone, email or regular mail. The company is based in Richmond, Virginia. Secondly, the partners/affiliates they work with are fully licensed or registered with the various trading organizations like the CFTC or NFA in which one can verify the issued IDs.
The most important thing of all that differentiates a company like High Peak Financial from a fraudulent one is an attainable realistic return on investment. Most of the scam companies are claiming an impossible 1 - 3% per day, while a solid business like HPF aims for a 3 - 5% per month return. Investors with them saw a total return of 39.4% in 2006. Anyway you look at it; it is an impressive performance as compared to other forms of investing like the stock indexes. 2007 is also turning out to be another profitable year for its investors as well.

It is looking like Scandinavian Networking Group (SNG) is about to repeat the histories of a couple of so called trading programs that have failed to deliver. If you have been hiding under a rock for the past several years, you may have missed GINSystem and PIPS (aka PureInvestor) scams. If you are not familiar with these two, just do a search on the names + “scam” and you will find all the information you need.
Between GINS and PIPS, thousands of investors lost millions of dollars and may never recover a single penny. The mastermind behind GINS was tried and convicted in Singapore for illegally running a business without the proper licenses. He also had over 60 charges of fraud against him.
PIPS followed the same paths to failure. Brian Mardsen and his wife are both currently in a Malaysian jail awaiting trial for exactly the same type of charges as GINS. It does not look very promising for those that “invested” in this program as well.
We now come to SNG, in which the similarities to the two previous scams are striking. According to their website, they are currently not accepting any new members until further notice. (There are some disconcerting reasons why they are not accepting new members at the moment.) Should they open up again for new members, there are some facts you should consider before sending in any money. Read the rest of this entry »

Worldlpp.com has been around since 2005 and are led by what appears to be reputable people. They have a unique concept for those that want to invest a little money for a share in the profits of the business ventures they initiate. In real world business operations, one must realize that any returns on investment could take a while. This investment is not for those that have little patience. It may take a long period of time to break even or to see a return just for the fact that some of the ventures have to be built from the ground up… start to finish. As in all new business startups, there is the risk of failure in the first few critical years.
In this program, one can make money as an affiliate or choose to participate in the pools once one is comfortable with a proposal that is presented. Once a person becomes a part owner (limited partner), he will receive dividends per the number of the shares or units invested for life; as long as the business or venture is profitable. The cost per unit is usually around 50USD. Affordable for the small investors to participate.
To date, two ventures have been started. Vivamin.com, a vitamin online sales site and ItConsultinglive.com which is an IT outsourcing business. Returns on invested monies have been reported to be minimal by those that have participated. Since the inception of the two ventures, it should be noted that only ITConsultingLive has shown to have some growth and profit. There are several other ventures currently in the works and have either been launched or in the process of.
Worldlpp.com is worth taking a closer look at, but only for those that have a long term strategy and can have funds tied up. Here are snippets from their website. Read the rest of this entry »

Today, I find two new RPP programs being advertised on the net, Earlypension.com and UAE-pension-retirement.com . It is really starting to be rediculous. The more I see of these reverse pension programs, the more I sway towards the “too good to be true” line of thinking. I am not saying that either of these new ones are scams.. not yet anyhow. (We have a category for that.) This is just a fair warning to those that are considering to participate that scammers and unscrupulous people are great opportunists.
I would be very surprised and shocked to see if any one of these RPPs is legit and pays out like they say. I believe that we are now reaching a point of saturation with these programs. Scammers, if not already present, will start to copycat the original websites to swindle honest folks out of their money. Professional scammers are frothing at the mouth with this concept. You have the perfect setup - an anonymous website with a lofty idea that plays on the dreams, hopes and greed of average people, a non regulated currency payment system and a deadline. The scammers do not have to do anything until the last dollar of the last member is sent in. Then they can run.
Of course some participants in these programs will counter with the fact that several of these programs have come to completion and they haven’t run yet. The sites are still there. One can only ask, have they paid out yet? On a more pessimistic point of view, it will take the scammers a while to move several million dollars worth of e-gold and e-bullion around as to not attract attention. Secondly, the e-currencies will have to be exchanged into hard cold cash and transferred to some hidden offshore account.
Pure conjecture, but very likely how it will happen if they all turn out to be pie in the sky scams. After all, they do have their escape clauses. What? You haven’t read them?

Here is an opportunity to become a founding member of a new secure currency payment and transfer company based in Panama. Currently there are 703 shares available. Each share is $350.00. As a founding member, you will earn a percentage of the transactions that are completed by the company.
